Hey all, I'm here to ask a little about Interceptors. I'm not someone who knows nothing about them, I've flown them for about half a year and know how to fly them well, when I've chosen the target. My question is, how can I take down the big guys? I've taken two battlecruisers solo before (at different times ofc :P), but they had no webbers or target painters, so my question is this:
How do I know who to choose and who not to choose, when going for the big boys? I really want to get out there and take some big ships to *finally* get the last bits of footage for a video, but I'm paranoid about webbers. It's not that I can't afford to replace them (which I often can), but I just don't feel like rushing in when there's only a 30% chance or so that I'll live. In all the big ceptor vids out there, the protagonist rushes in and pops battleships without blinking, but never getting webbed, including under 10, or even 5km.
Any ideas? - - - - - Krist Valentine > Anti Pirate [An-tee-py-rut] - NOUN - Miner who got podded and trained for a Ferox. |

Thanks for your replies. It's a shame to be honest - I love interceptors but if I can only take rookies on in them then it seems like they need a real revamp.
There's no way I'd take a scorp solo - that amount of electronic warfare is insane.
Oh, and in relation to the last recommendation: I despise Caldari ships. - - - - - Krist Valentine > Anti Pirate [An-tee-py-rut] - NOUN - Miner who got podded and trained for a Ferox. |

Originally by: Hamatitio noo.. they need to be nerfed. They are interceptors after all, not assault ships.
I'm not saying they should be stronger, I just think there should be some way to avoid webbers for them. Let AF's do the tanking, I just want ceptors to be able to carry out their role :P
And I'd forgotten about wolfpacks :P - - - - - Krist Valentine > Anti Pirate [An-tee-py-rut] - NOUN - Miner who got podded and trained for a Ferox. |

To be honest, I recently came into a fairly large amount of cash (for a ceptor setup, at least), and can't really see what I'd do with that amount. I have mates who spend like 100mil on ship setups for battleships, that's just not possible with a ceptor, as far as I can see anyway.
But thanks for the advice, I sorta see where you're coming from. - - - - - Krist Valentine > Anti Pirate [An-tee-py-rut] - NOUN - Miner who got podded and trained for a Ferox. |

Thanks for the replies. In relation to the last comment, dude, do you fly interceptors? I've been webbed at close range by big ships, and that ship didn't make it out of the fight. - - - - - Krist Valentine > Anti Pirate [An-tee-py-rut] - NOUN - Miner who got podded and trained for a Ferox. |

Thanks. Although I keep trying to get my ceptor friends together since this post, they seem to manage to 'just have to logout' every time. :\ - - - - - Krist Valentine > Anti Pirate [An-tee-py-rut] - NOUN - Miner who got podded and trained for a Ferox. |
